Florida Home Partnership's Street Corner Beautification Project Benefits on Earth Day

WHAT: Wells Fargo will announce a major contribution to Florida Home Partnership, Inc. (a nonprofit self-help home builder) through its national UrbanLIFT(SM) community grant program administered by NeighborWorks America®. These funds are made available in response to the 2013 agreement between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Wells Fargo, Florida Home Partnership, Inc. was one of a limited number of nonprofits awarded grants totaling $11.4 million from the UrbanLIFT(SM) community grant program to help strengthen neighborhoods in 25 cities with diverse populations.
In addition, employees from Wells Fargo will assist FHP staff and self-help residents in its Earth Day event. Volunteers will reclaim and replant Washingtonia Palm trees in the first phase of the nonprofit home builder’s neighborhood beautification project.
WHO: Richard Machek, the State of Florida USDA Director, invited guests and supporters will also be in attendance to respond to Wells Fargo’s announcement and acknowledge Florida Home Partnership’s achievements. Interview and photo opportunities are available to the media.
