When the rain finally stopped in Flushing Meadows Monday, the only wild card still playing at the U.S. Open did her best to treat it as just another day in the tennis office, but it didn’t work. Alison Riske, 23, a wild card from Pittsburgh, Pa., was playing in Arthur Ashe Stadium, the biggest court on Earth. She was across the net from a big-name opponent, Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia, one set away from the quarterfinals. Reported by NY Daily News 2 hours ago.
