Global warming critic and former White House advisor John Casey announced Monday plans to release new data showing the threat of rising global sea levels has peaked and the that the Sun is entering hibernation, bringing cooler weather.
"Now that the Sun has entered a state of 'solar hibernation' and is cutting back on the energy by which it warms the Earth,” Casey wrote, “a new and potentially dangerous decades-long drop in global temperatures has begun.”
Casey, who is the president of the Space and Science Research Corporation and author of “Cold Sun”, has often been ridiculed for his views that contradict mainstream opinion, and has been called a scam artist.
While Casey, and others who share the unpopular opinion, believe that the Earth is going through a cyclical period of warmth, Al Gore and other global warming proponents still hold that pollution from carbon dioxide is leading to climate change. President Obama still sides with global warming advocates.
However, Casey is confident that his data is accurate and foretelling, calling manmade climate change a myth.
“The data is in,” Casey said. “It is time to provide a formal statement on the end of global sea level rise.”
Casey plans to reveal his information in three weeks in Miami, a city global warming proponents say will once day be under water after polar ice caps melt.
